THE STORY
Mensur Abahika is a member of the Tokuma Group, a Western Ethiopia collective who have organized to market their coffees together and share knowledge with each other that allows them to each improve quality.
He owns an 18-hectare farm and has become an expert in growing natural coffees with locally selected varieties that are durable, resistant and have good cup characteristics, within a region that is not usually known for it.
Mensur hand-picks the coffee cherries once they reach the perfect level of ripeness and then transfers them to raised African beds, where they are left to dry in the sun until they reach the desired degree of moisture.
